2008 SPRING LEAGUE DIRECTIONS

  1. Register team on line at - http://www.d2springsoccer.org/ - Follow their directions on registering your team to play in the D2 spring league. After you have registered your team on line you then need to follow the below directions to get your team approved by the Santa Cruz County Youth Soccer League.


  2. Spring league Fees:
    • D2 Spring League Fee - $250
    • New Player (this is a player not registered with CYSA in the Fall Season - $25.00

    • SCCYSL Spring Processing Fee - $20.00

    • TOTAL FEES DUE WHEN PAPERWORK TURNED IN $270.00 (plus $25 for each new registered player)


  3. Paperwork Required by Santa Cruz League – DUE BY MARCH 6.  ALL ROSTER ADD/RELEASES MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THEN APRIL 1 (no exceptions):
    1. 2 copies of completed spring league roster

    2. 1 copy of fall roster

    3. 1 copy of front of fall player passes for any player not registered to your team      in the fall BUT was registered with another team.  (If you are picking a player up from another team – a Division 1 team, Division 3 team or Division 4 team you must get the fall pass from that team and give me a copy of the front of that pass)

    4. Any new adult to team MUST have proper license – We need 2 copies of this license and an adult disclosure form completed AND IF THIS IS A NEW HEAD COACH THIS COACH MUST BE APPROVED BY THE SCCYSL BEFORE BEING NAMED AS HEAD COACH TO ANY TEAM. 

    5. For any new player (not cysa registered for this past fall season)WeI need 1 spring pass – complete with photo and all information filled out and signed.  Registrar will write in the new CYSA registration #.  Original and copy of 1601 CYSA registration form – (original signed in blue ink) and 1 copy of their birth certificate. 

    6. 1 check made out to SCCYSL for total fees due


  4. In addition to the registration fees to play spring soccer please be aware that each team will have additional fees for fields and referees.  (These fees could possibly be around $200 per game.)

Questions for Parents/Players

What is Spring Soccer?

Spring soccer is a soccer league in Santa Cruz County for competitive teams and competitive players.  It is NOT a recreational soccer league.

Where can I find a recreational league for Spring Soccer?

Excel Soccer Club is a COED youth soccer club for all of Santa Cruz County.  Please visit their website at www.excelsoccerclub.org or call them at 425-0405 for further information.

How can I register my child to play Spring Soccer?

Players can only play on teams that have a need for more players. You can check with your local clubs to see if they know of any teams with openings.  The local club’s websites are available on this website.

How much does it cost to play Spring Soccer?

The cost varies per team and is determined by the team.

When does the season start and end?

The season starts around April 1st (with practices beginning earlier) and ends around June 15th.  There are usually ten games played – five at home and five away.

How do I know which age group my player should play?

How do I get a field for practices?

You need to go to your field coordinator in your local club and get fields assigned to you.  Please go their websites for further information.

How do I get referees for my games?

Susie Nowak, the SCCYSL Referee Coordinator will assign referees for your games.  Please contact her at susienow@pacbell.net

How do I get fields for my games?

You need to contact your local club for assistance with finding fields for games.  Please go their websites for further information.

Who do I contact for registration questions?

What are the dates to register a team?

Registration of teams begins on February 1st.  All paperwork is due to Michele or Daryl by March 6th.  All roster changes must be competed by April 1st.
